KIMANDY LAWRENCE, PE
Principal in Charge
Kimandy Lawrence is the founder of Lord and Lawrence Consulting Engineers and is a solar professional with almost two decades of experience in the solar industry. Over the years, he has operated within the solar industry as both a licensed electrical contractor and a licensed professional engineer. To date, Kimandy has designed over 2,000 photovoltaic systems that range from off grid outhouses, to multi-megawatt grid connected systems. His knowledge of the National Electrical Code and design of photovoltaic systems in High Velocity Hurricane Zones (HVHZ) is unparalleled. He takes pride in being able to design the most challenging photovoltaic systems.
ROGER MESSENGER, PHD, PE
Senior Project Engineer
Dr. Messenger has designed more than 6 MW of PV systems that are currently in operation, ranging in size from watts to megawatts and from stand-alone to grid-connected to battery backup. He is the author of four editions of Photovoltaic Systems Engineering, a best-selling textbook for engineers and has also offered training courses for hundreds of engineers, inspectors, and PV installers since 2005. In the past, he has served on boards of the Florida Solar Energy Center, the Florida Alliance for Renewable Energy and the Florida Solar Energy Industries Association. He wrote the first draft of the PV Installer Certification Study Guide and the first draft of the PV Installer Certification Exam for the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). He continued as a member of a NABCEP advisory committee on exam questions.
JACOB KUPIEC, BSME
Solar Project Manager
Jacob Kupiec is a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate from Florida Atlantic University with previous experience in the automotive and cryogenic industries. Jacob values ethical engineering practices and environmental stewardship which fuel his passion for renewable energy solutions. When not advancing the Sunshine State's solar energy industry, Jacob enjoys running, playing various instruments, and learning new languages.
MINDY O'NEAL, PE, LEED AP
Solar Design Engineer
Mindy is a Mechanical Engineer who studied Principals of Solar Engineering at the University of Florida and has been working in the A/E Industry doing commercial, mechanical and plumbing design since the early 2000’s. Renewable energy and sustainable design are important factors for the built environment. Mindy is eager to be part of the intensifying solar industry, expanding her knowledge of both residential and commercial photovoltaic systems to help reduce the ecological footprint.
FAHAD YEZDANI, BSEE
Lead Residential Designer
Fahad is an Electrical Engineer that has been a part of the Solar Industry since 2019. To this date, he has been responsible for designing over 500 residential photovoltaic systems throughout the state of Florida. Fahad has an extensive knowledge of integrating battery backup with photovoltaic system. He has been challenging himself to learn the dynamics of the growing solar industry. Fahad's goal is to master the three-phase system for the commercial part of the industry.
